Shocking Deepfake Videos of Mahakumbh Girl Monalisa Bhosle Go Viral – Fact Check Reveals the Truth!

A set of videos featuring Monalisa Bhosle, a girl from the Mahakumbh festival, has taken over social media. In these clips, she dances and poses for photographers, sparking rumors that she has signed a Hindi movie. But is any of it real?

Who is Monalisa Bhosle?

Monalisa Bhosle, a young girl from Madhya Pradesh, became famous after her images from the Mahakumbh festival went viral. She and her family sell beads at the massive Hindu gathering, which started on January 13, 2025, and will continue until February 26.

The Viral Videos

The videos spread across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and X, quickly gaining attention.

  • Video 1: Bhosle wears a red dress and dances by a river.
  • Video 2: She appears in a black dress, dancing at a beach.
  • Video 3: She waves and poses for photographers.

People started believing she had landed a film role. But was it really her?

How We Exposed the Deepfakes

We examined these videos closely and noticed unnatural facial movements and changes in skin tone. We also tracked down the original videos and found that someone had digitally altered them to make it look like Bhosle was in them.

Video 1: The River Dance

The River Dance

The first viral video contains a watermark from an Instagram account called “ni8.out9.” We checked this account and found the same video posted there with a disclaimer. The caption stated:

“This video was created using face swap technology for entertainment purposes only. The images and likenesses of actors shown here are digitally altered and do not reflect the real appearances, endorsements, or opinions of the individuals depicted. No intention to deceive or mislead; all content is meant solely for fun and creative expression. Viewer discretion is advised.”

A reverse image search led us to the original video, which belonged to social media influencer Tanu Rawat. She posted it on December 11, 2024. After comparing the two versions, we confirmed that someone had swapped Bhosle’s face with Rawat’s.

Video 2: The Beach Dance

The second video also appeared on the same Instagram account, “ni8.out9.” Just like the first one, this video originally featured Tanu Rawat.

We found the unedited video on Rawat’s profile. She had uploaded it on October 14, 2024. The person who manipulated the clip flipped it horizontally and replaced Rawat’s face with Bhosle’s.

When we reviewed more content from “ni8.out9,” we discovered several other altered videos featuring Bhosle. Each one had a disclaimer stating it was not real.

Video 3: Posing for Photographers

The third video, where Bhosle waves and poses, actually features Bollywood actress Wamiqa Gabbi.

We located the original footage, which showed Gabbi interacting with photographers. The deepfake version simply replaced Gabbi’s face with Bhosle’s to create a misleading video.

AI Confirms the Videos Are Deepfakes

To verify our findings, we ran the videos through an AI detection tool called Hive Moderation. The tool identified them as “AI-generated or deepfake content.”

The Verdict

The viral videos of Monalisa Bhosle dancing and posing for the media are fake. The original clips feature social media influencer Tanu Rawat and Bollywood actress Wamiqa Gabbi.

This case proves how easily people can manipulate digital content. Always double-check before believing or sharing viral videos. In today’s world of deepfake technology, seeing is no longer believing.
